Gaone Sibanda is the current the Managing Director of Old Mutual Short-Term Insurance, where she is responsible for steering the organization toward the successful execution of its strategic and financial objectives. In her leadership role, she ensures the alignment of operational performance with long-term business goals, while fostering a culture of innovation, customer-centricity, and sustainable growth.

 With over 23 years of professional experience, Gaone has built a robust career across a diverse range of sectors including insurance, banking, and telecommunications. Her extensive background spans key business functions such as client services, claims management, and operations, equipping her with a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end business processes and customer value delivery.

Gaone holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Marketing) from the University of Botswana, and a Master of Science in Strategic Management (MSc) from the University of Derby. In addition, she is professionally certified in both long-term and short-term insurance by the Insurance Institute of South Africa (IISA) through Botswana Accountancy College.
