Gerald is the present Group Chief Executive Officer for Old Mutual Botswana.

Although his early career focus was on Investment Banking and Investment Management in South Africa, Europe, and North America, he moved to risk transfer when he joined Old Mutual in 2004. Before joining Old Mutual he worked for leading banks and investment management companies in South Africa, USA, and Europe. He also held Director positions in Telecommunications, Banking, Investment Management, Commodity Trading, and Insurance.

His track record in business leadership is exhibited in the various senior roles he has held across the globe. In addition, his specific areas of expertise are in Distribution Value Chains, strategic partnerships, M&A, and strategy.

Gerald is an Executive Member of the Life industry association in Botswana (Association of Life Underwriters Botswana).

Education: BComm (Investment Management & Economics), PGD (Financial Law), APGD (Investment Management), and various Executive Education programs from leading international universities such as Insead, MIT, and Stanford. Certified Financial Planner® with the Financial Planning Institute of Southern Africa (FPI) and Financial Planning Standards Board USA (SFPB).
