Ricardo Sardien is the current Group Chief Finance Officer of Old Mutual Botswana, responsible for driving financial excellence and delivering strategic financial outcomes. Prior to this, he served as the Head of Tax Reporting and Accounting for Old Mutual: Africa Regions, where he demonstrated exceptional leadership in managing tax reporting, financial accounting, and risk management.

With over 13 years of professional experience in auditing, financial management, tax reporting, and risk management, Ricardo has honed his expertise in various industries. Before joining Old Mutual, he led the financial management function of companies engaged in Investment Holdings, Financial Shared Services, Property Holdings, Information Technology Services, and Online Sports Betting, within a Johannesburg Stock Exchange-listed (JSE) environment.

Ricardo holds a BCom in Financial Accounting from the prestigious University of Cape Town (UCT) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting Sciences from the University of South Africa (UNISA). He is also an Associate of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA), reflecting his commitment to professional excellence.

In recognition of his strong financial acumen and sound business judgment, Ricardo currently chairs the Investment Committee of Old Mutual Botswana, guiding the organization towards sustainable growth and profitability.
