On Thursday 26th November, Old Mutual Life Managing Director Mr. Daniel Matlhagela, Group Head of Marketing & Customer Experience Ms Matshediso Motshegare and Head of Sales for Old Mutual Short- Term Insurance Mr Tebogo Kgamanyane went to SOS Children’s Village in Tlokweng to hand over P30 000 worth of food parcels.
In receiving the donation, the National Director of SOS Mr Motshwari Kitso mentioned how grateful they were as it has been a tough year. He mentioned that the organization relied solely on donations and that due to the COVID-19 pandemic they have received fewer donations than prior years. Mr Kitso further mentioned that even though the children were within the SOS walls, their desire was to make them feel like any other child in their natural home setting. According to Mr Kitso, the donation will be divided amongst 20 households within SOS.
Managing Director of Old Mutual Life, Daniel Matlhagela explained to the SOS team that Old Mutual is mostly known for its unwavering commitment to enabling positive futures in the communities in which it operates and how it was such an honor to be able to support vulnerable children in Botswana. “It is heartwarming to see the commitment and dedication of the SOS staff in taking care of these children,” concluded Mr Matlhagela.
